The regional center of excellence for electricity control (CERME) at the University of Lomé has a new deputy director, in the person of Dr Mazabalo Baneto (MC). He officially took office, following a handover, which took place on April 16, 2024, in the meeting room of the Polytechnic School of Lomé (EPL), under the leadership of Professor Komlan Batawila , 1st Vice-President of the University of Lomé.
Following his assumption of office, Mr. Baneto thanked the Minister of Higher Education and Research, Professor Majesté Ihou N. Wateba, as well as the university authorities for the trust placed in him. He promised to do everything possible to live up to the functions entrusted to him, reiterating to the director of CERME, Dr Yao Bokovi, his availability to lead, alongside him, the center towards all performance indicators.
During this ceremony, Professor Batawila urged the CERME management team for continuity, so that the center continues to reflect excellence at all levels for a better tomorrow. He reaffirmed the commitment of the president of the UL, Professor Adama Mawulé Kpodar, to make CERME a reference in the sub-region.
As a reminder, Dr Mazabalo Baneto, incoming deputy director of CERME (right), replaces in this position Dr Damgou Mani Kongnine, outgoing deputy director (left).
