Re-registration is compulsory each year for each doctoral student (employee or student). Before each re-registration, the doctoral student submits to the DRI:

NB: in the case of foreign diplomas at the University of Lomé, obtain prior registration authorization issued by the Director of the DAAS to be attached to the file (information at Counter No. 2 for the creation of the approval file and obtaining equivalences).
Registrations for doctoral studies are annual and compulsory. They must therefore be renewed each academic year. In the absence of renewal, the student loses all rights attached to the status of doctoral student.

Article 25: New directions that may intervene in the preparation of the doctorate, resulting in changes concerning the thesis subject, the thesis director and the addition of a thesis co-supervisor or a thesis co-supervisor additional, can be done during the first year of doctoral registration and at the latest during the second authorized registration of the doctoral student.
Changes that occur after this deadline will be subject to arbitration between the DRI and the DAAS.
The change(s) are reported and justified by letter addressed to the Director of Academic Affairs and Education, signed by the Director of Research and Innovation. The letter will also specify the new proposal(s).
After study, a response letter is sent to the head of doctoral training, by the Director of Academic Affairs and Education, allowing or not the continuation of the doctoral preparation.
The change(s) can only be made once during the preparation of a doctorate at the University of Lomé.
NB1: In the case of foreign diplomas at the University of Lomé:
You must first obtain registration authorization issued by the Department of Academic Affairs and Education (DAAS) which must be attached to the file. (Information at the Counter for compiling the approval file and obtaining equivalences).
NB2: The reference duration of doctoral preparation is six semesters or three academic years.
The minimum duration of thesis preparation is 36 months and the maximum duration is 42 months, always corresponding to three academic registrations at the DAAS.
