The major challenges to be met in the field of university cooperation

The field of academic cooperation faces major challenges, crucial to ensuring effective academic collaboration.

  • the establishment of a professional and efficient communication system between DIRECOOP, the central services involved in cooperation and the faculties, schools and institutes of the UL
  • the decentralization of university cooperation with the designation, in each UL establishment, of a cooperation manager (focal point), responsible for mobility and internationalization who will work in close collaboration with DIRECOOP
  • the development of statistics periodically in central services and establishments with a view to determining their rating in terms of cooperation and mobility.

It is in view of all these challenges that the UL authorities, by decree No. 024/UL/P/SG/2017, created the Mobility Support Unit (CAM) and the Study Group and for Funding Research (GRF-UL) with a view to breathing new life into university cooperation. These measures taken by the UL authorities fit perfectly with the national vision expressed in Law No. 2017-005 of June 19, 2017 on the orientation of higher education and research and which aims to “provide Togo with by 2030, quality higher education and research focused on sustainable development and the economic emergence of the country. »
