Any teacher or administrative staff upon recruitment or taking up their position has a “login” and a “password” to access wifi throughout the campus. An institutional email address is also made available to them in order to serve as an essential communication channel. Any exchange of scientific, educational and administrative documents between the university administration and members of the teaching, administrative and technical staff of the University is done only through professional addresses listed on the domain “univ-lome.tg”. All of these provisions aim to enable regulated exchanges of data for a secure and easily accessible working environment.
As soon as they are recruited or take up their position, teachers and administrative staff receive a username and password to access wifi throughout the campus from the University of Lomé. They are also assigned an institutional email address, serving as an essential communication channel.
All exchanges of scientific, educational and administrative documents between the university administration and members of the teaching, administrative and technical staff are carried out only via the professional addresses on the domain “univ-lome.tg“.

Identifiers and passwords are assigned securely and confidentially to each member of staff. They allow controlled access to the university’s online resources and services.
Institutional email addresses are required for all official correspondence related to teaching, research and administrative activities. They guarantee the traceability and archiving of exchanges.
For the configuration of data on computers and Smartphone-type telephones, an explanatory document is provided on request by the DRSI and serves as a guide.
As for students, they access the wifi network with their name as identifier and their student card number as password.
To enable students from Togolese public universities to integrate into the LMD system under study conditions consistent with international standards, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research launched the “Galileo” Project in 2018. This project offers each student the opportunity to have a new ACER brand laptop computer, type Aspire ESI 553 with 500 GB of storage, 4 GB of memory, a 15.6” HD LED LCD screen and a connection to internet, for an amount of 110,000 CFA francs. The official versions of Windows 10 and Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Edge, OneNote software are preinstalled on these computers.
The first phase of the Galileo project, operational until 2019, aims to equip ten thousand (10,000) students with ‘laptop. Phases two and three, covering the periods 2019 – 2020 and 2020 – 2021 respectively, each aim to endow fifteen thousand (15,000) additional students.
To benefit from the project, interested students must register on a dedicated management platform. They deposit fifty thousand (50,000) FCFA in one or more payments. The complement of their participation, i.e. sixty thousand (60,000) FCFA, is payable either in cash or in 12 monthly installments of five thousand (5,000) FCFA, i.e. 167 FCFAper day, after a loan has been granted by a project partner bank.
This ambitious project aims to gradually equip students with laptops, thus allowing them to benefit from efficient digital tools for their studies as part of the LMD system.
The project’s online registration platform is available at www.projetgalilee.tg.
